Some of the negatives include a possible tax increase, higher insurance premiums and penalties that employers will have to pay, for example if they don’t provide insurance.
One way the reform bill plans to control costs is through Government-run Medicare, slashing the amount of money doctors and specialists are paid. Dr. Wolfson says this could have physicians walking away from their jobs and leaving patients with less access to good care.
